Yes. Students should study the lives of famous scientists. Because scientists had an interesting life, and they did a lot of research in their lives. This is because if they study the lives of these scientists, they may be interested in the scientist’s lives and the opportunities to work harder on what they are trying to do like the scientists.

Of course students have to study famous scientists. science is a very important thing to our lives, and some famous scientists have evidence to their opinions that could be important to our future lives.
scientist don't have to study lives of other scientist because theier life does not matter in scientific fact they have to share their risurch but they don't have to share theier lives
You said scientist had an interesting life.
But, Not all of them.
There are so many scientist in the earth.
But we know just few of them.
Then, what about the other scientist?
They can't earn money.
Also, we need to think about the students are not intrested in science.
Yes, students should study the lives of famous scientists.
While everyone is in the process of academic studies, we learn about facts which the experts had found through their own way of doing it. Learning about the person behind such work is always a part of the process, it goes along, more often than not. We learn about the person/s behind such studies or whatever contribution to science, acknowledgement is properly done every time.
This is my opinion. No, I don't think so...because Steven Hawking is a famous cosmologist but he doesn't have a happy life, and if person don't have happy life it will be unhappy too...^^;;
Yes, students should study a short personal background of the lives of famous scientists. It is also important to honor and respect them. However, a short and simple knowledge of his background would be helpful and not too lengthy discussion is appropriate.
Of course, a few opinions should be heard. But if the majority is interested in the lives of scientists, the rest of the students should follow that opinion. If the rest of the students (who are not intrested in science) study the scientist's life, they woud think 'Oh, now I can see that science and the lives of scientists are not so dull!' And like I said, scientist's life isn't so dull.
I do not think there is anything wrong about this. If any, they only disturb the privacy of the living scientists. If it is post humus, then this is even better. We can learn from their habits and judgement systems in order to perhaps achieve what they had.
